Third generation Oaklander, second generation Cal Bear. Living the most boring life I can in these interesting times. (Quote in banner image is from Fannie Lou Hamer: )
During Trump's first term, I thought about this tweet almost every day. Now, between the President and AI bros, I'm lucky if I can go an hour without thinking about it.
Name a song with girl in the title, but replace girl with squirrel: (we'll eat fudge banana swirl, just you and me) Punk Rock Squirrel
Funniest ever is the Gerry Adams tweet, but this one's pretty good.
Can't decide whether this is too cringe or I-dont-fucking-care-if-its-cringe, stop-fucking-with-my-friends.
Hitchcock also edited collections of mysteries (presumably from his magazine) and the stories aren't all winners, but most of them are. Dude was like Kirkland - would put his name on anything, but it's always high quality.
I'm not saying the Big Valley is why I'm a lesbian, but ... it's probably not unrelated.
The New Testament isn't my area of expertise, but I don't understand why we're not talking more aggressively about Matthew 25. It seems very clear that ICE agents are condemning themselves to hell and they really should be made aware of that.
Folks this morning talking about not wanting vehicles to go back to the '70s, and of course they're right, but the Datsun 620 pickup truck makes a strong counter-argument.
My #CWC25 fantasy strategy of dropping anyone playing in Columbo is continuing to pay off. Go ZomBuns!
2/2 This is a picture from California Memorial Stadium after the seismic retrofit in 2017. It's a little difficult to see, but they painted in the fault line. It is within _feet_ of this morning's quake. Great job, Go Bears.
Havin some fun in Berkeley this morning. This is the USGS map of this morning's small earthquake (1.7). The epicenter seems to be under the north endzone of Memorial Stadium. (It was really small - I only felt it because I live nearby.) 🧵1/2
Place near me (Berkeley CA) still has Marys patches with CBN. Don't know if it's old stock or only available in CA, but if this is the right stuff, it's showing as in stock.
I asked Claude to proofread something for me, and the response was how smart and funny I am and how my friends are lucky to have me and holy hell, the dopamine response is crazy and I want more of that SO MUCH.
My social media experience got a lot better when I (mostly) stopped rage quoting. Shouting "fuck these fuckers" doesn't drive engagement, but it has the exact same practical effect and it gives me more time to hang out with not-my-cat.
When describing Libertarians, it's hard to choose between the house cats tweet and the car seat tweet.
