But this here is a big part of the issue. People have understandable concerns about the health of their babies. Vaccines seem scary when nobody can remember iron lungs anymore. We have to remember the human side and approach people like this with compassion.

I saw some form of this argument play out hundreds of times this year. Some people don't seem to understand that just being better than Trump is not enough. The strategy is basically: "I'm *only* going to kill your dad, my opponent would also kill your mom. Please vote for me thanks."

A reddit argument about the messaging around Gaza during the US election. Some users argue that saying "we will help genocide less than the republicans" is not a winning strategy. Others argue that "more genocide" is obviously worse worse and at least Biden and Harris were tying.
