I've got too much energy to switch off my mind, but not enough to get myself organized.
Temperatures reach 100° F today with a heat index of 110°. I am glad I was cautious and didn't ride my bike. Tomorrow is supposed to be similar.
In search of the best lasagna in Ocean City. This wasn't it. Points for fresh ingredients freshly made noodles, and ricotta cheese, but it was overwhelmed with the sauce and I never got that heavenly bite where you taste the ricotta. It was a 7 out of 10. The portion was good, but it was pricey.
The restaurant I wanted lasagna from is closed today so I went to the beach early (no sunsets). The water was a lovely 79°.
For you Schitt's Creek fans, here is a bumper sticker I came across today.
I refer back to my previously posted picture of a sticker I saw.
We went out for crabs which we don't do very often. We got colossal. Definitely the biggest I may have ever seen. Beer bottle for size reference. They're easily 8 inches.
Occasionally dead marine animals wash up onto our shore, turtles, sharks, tuna, dolphins. They are taken to the national aquarium for examination, seen here, to determine the cause of death such as a virus, natural causes, disease, predators, or injuries from humans or boats.
I was 17 when I first heard the Clash as we drove around town in my buddy's car. He played me the London Calling album on his cassette deck. We got tickets that week to see them on the combat rock tour. Tickets were $10.
Our town was super busy for the 4th. The first photo is the boardwalk from 1st thing this morning, the second is the boardwalk after crews cleaned it up like nothing happened. Yeah, it sucks that people treat the town like this but it does provide many people with year round employment.
My wife went shopping. I am admittedly a cheese addict. I requested a very specific smoked gouda (Red Apple brand). She couldn't find it and bought something else. She knows nothing about cheese. I must say, it was a happy accident. This is among the creamiest gouda with a lovely saltiness.
I've posted this before, but this is me and the staff at WKSR radio at Kent State about 1987. Legit 80s hair here.
I rode up to the beach before work to catch a summer sunrise this morning. 100% worth it.
