And that's it! I mean, I really can't describe the effect the whole site gives, especially with the heat and drought. It's such a hilariously weird place and cost £14 entrance each. Tiny Dragon, the target age, absolutely loved it 😂 So a successful day out all round! Hope you enjoyed The Horrors.

With just a bit of time left, we watched the singing fish about 1000 times while Tiny Dragon carefully analysed the lyrics of the song about a frog prince. We also went back to Mouse Town. Here's the other end of it. And some more weird AI.

We spent more time the with fibreglass. And very slight animatronics. (The wings of the big geese moved a bit.) I commented on Prince Charming being in a box, and TD told me that he isn't real and that's just so people can see what he looks like.

Some more bits and bobs. Everywhere seems to have these plastic milking cows right now. The Giant Vegetable Patch, where you could dig with tiny potatoes. Rabbit burrow play house. (TD loved this. We spent so long in here.) TD says my friends will be very interested in her unusual party ring.

When we came when Tiny Dragon was aged 2 (it was absolutely freezing and we were almost the only visitors) this was brand new and I assumed it was going to be painted and/or decorated. Nope! 😂

Soooo, after riding the Snorses, there is still more of Wonderland! This playground, and "crazy cues". These must have been bought in, they were very dilapidated, and also incredibly hard. Odd choice for a place which is really aimed at under 5s.

The ride ended with the scene of Alice in the dock while the song about the knave of hearts stealing the tarts played. And then the final final thing was the Hatter weeping in a jail cell. WHO DESIGNED THIS??? Like, Tiny Dragon was a bit stressed by this lack of resolution! (We rode this 3 times)

They were all bits from the book, but the ride gave no narrative structure or through-line. They were just unconnected scenes. I had to keep trying to briefly explain them to TD (who has seen a play of Alice) because the context was just not provided.

Ok. I did my best but I wasn't fully prepared for Wonderland. It was an absolutely baffling jumble of fairly good models, fairly hideous models, and AI art. With bits of book dialogue playing over the top.

At this point earlier they realised I'd SAID TOO MUCH and kicked me off the (terrible) wifi. Or maybe it went down for everyone, who can say. Anyway, now I'm home and will continue! They can't silence me!

My friend said the snails were more like snorses (snail horses) and Tiny Dragon is calling them snorses too 😂 They are every bit as weird in real life as they were in the publicity photos.

And now what you've all been wanting for... the new area. AI Wonderland.

Couple of pretty fun water play stations

The animals looked very hot. Fairytale Farm sells food for them and they all seemed pretty full and not really wanting much more, even most of the goats. This is pretty much the extent of the Farm.

Some more dinosaurs. The crocodily one rises up out of the water. You can definitely see how much from the algae. It and the orange one theoretically shot water, but it was more of a dribble. Hosepipe ban consequence?

Dinos have an archeology section which was genuinely a lot of fun.

But don't worry, next it was dinosaurs!

Next is the Fairy Dell, which apparently came from a completely different park where they have somewhat different taste

Wait, I missed one. And a "musical band".

The mermaids sing when you press their buttons. They can all do this at the same time. "Ooh, she sings like a whale!" said a very impressed Tiny Dragon of the naked mermaid.

Next we went through The Mermaid Garden. Please prepare yourselves for the mermaids.

So, this is Mouse Town. It's full of real mice. The button to turn on the lights also turns on some over-enthusiastic narration.

I'm so delighted to announce that today I have rented a car to take Tiny Dragon and me to Fairytale Farm, possibly Oxfordshire's weirdest family attraction, to view The Horrors.

Got my paddleboard fixed. Went down the river with Tiny Dragon. Seam blew AGAIN on the water. (Thankfully we had just pulled up to eat a picnic!) Luckily it wasn't too far to a road and then a friend rescued us by car. But like. Not fun 😬
