Yesterday, we united with the formidable OPSEU team to convey a message to MPP Peter Bethlenfalvy. This government persistently undermines public services, jeopardizing the most vulnerable among us. As the shirt proclaims, "Our jobs, services, and communities are WORTH FIGHTING FOR."
Pride is political, Pride is a Protest and Pride is a worker issue! For only the second time in the history of Pride Toronto, Labour marched as one this weekend! OFL affiliates marched as a united group, proudly showing that in labour we fight together, we march together, we win together!
Let’s show up as ONE labour movement. All unions. All locals. All members. March together. Join the Ontario Federation of Labour as we march in unity and pride. Bring your members, your flags and solidarity. Toronto Trans March - June 26 Toronto Dyke March - June 27 #ProudLabour #AllyIsAVerb

On Monday, May 25, supporters and allies of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community convened at the Ontario Legislature to make certain their voices are not ignored. This gathering at QP represents a concrete step we can all take to advocate for improvement and to demonstrate the power of our united solidarity.
Earlier this month, developmental service workers represented by OPSEU L172 in Ingersoll received a final offer from their employer. The workers responded with a decisive "NO." In response the employer locked them out! We were excited to stand in solidarity with these courageous workers today!
Yesterday the OFL attended OPSEU L358 picket sign making event and had the opportunity to meet these workers that support the communities most vulnerable. These workers are seeing their boss ready scab labour as the days countdown to a strike deadline! We know these members are #WorthFightingFor
Gender diversity isn’t new, radical, or confusing. It’s real, it’s lived, and it deserves respect. Our movement is strongest when we make room for everyone to belong. On #IDAHOBIT2026, we choose inclusion over ignorance. #AtTheHeartOfDemocracy
Everyone deserves to feel safe at work and in public spaces without fear or harassment. Gender-neutral washrooms are about safety, accessibility, and dignity. On #IDAHOBIT2026, we unite for people’s safety and dignity, not fear. #AtTheHeartOfDemocracy
Hate has no place in our unions, our workplaces, or our communities. On the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia, we recommit to solidarity, equity, and care for one another. #IDAHOBIT2026 #AtTheHeartOfDemocracy
Ending violence against women, children, and gender-diverse people is inseparable from the work of the labour movement. Today, the OFL and affiliates joined the #MooseHideCampaignDay signature ceremony in Toronto.

The May Day serves as a platform for all efforts aimed at achieving justice and creating a better world to unite in a collective movement. United, we will demonstrate what is achievable in our province, promote our vision for the Ontario we require, and organize to attain it. #internatioanlworkerday
An overwhelming thank you to Mayor Olivia Chow for advancing a motion that calls for mandatory police training around the Westray Law. This is a great example of when workers come together with progressive politicians, real change happens. #TCEU, #OliviaChow, #USWDistrict6
