Early in the spring I adopted asparagus seedlings from a friend’s grandfather’s patch. I planted seeds around them. This picture is deceptive. 90% of my starts are 3 inches high 😂 Every time I see them they make me smile. #GardenSky knows sometimes the most import wins are surprising & small.

Just finished this one and can not recommend it enough. Compulsively readable, easily accessible, truth telling history, empowering stories, well documented strategies for all of us. A good companion to Timothy Snyders on Tyranny.
Ruthless truths sharp enough to make one bleed. Visceral, gritty, feminist AF. The collection excels at character voice, immersive moments brilliantly rich with sensory details and radical recognition of women, self-sufficient out of necessity, saving themselves. Read the CW on Storygraph.
Adventurous fantasy threaded through with themes of corruption, wealth, and exploitive manipulation. Always a hopeful, defiant spirit. Always a feeling of respect, loyalty and profound valuing of all humans. Accessible translated fiction that picks up speed like a roller coaster escapist read.
