Im coming in right at the wire but this is what I worked on during my planning time today. I had a lot of fun playing around with this.

NASA announced today the three astronauts who will crew the first manned flight of Mission Morpho. First announced in 2015, Morpho is the name given to NASA’s mission to return to the moon and establish a lunar base there. They hope that this will eventually lead to missions deeper into space, with Mars being the first stop. The crew was announced during an event at Ellington Field near NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston.Another goal of Mission Morpho is to transform people's perceptions of NASA. “For too long it seemed that there was only one type of person who could journey beyond into the stars,” said NASA’s Head Administrator Amilyn Holdo. “While the Falcon Shuttle missions saw much progress in making sure that generations of dreamers saw themselves in our missions, there is still work to do. Each member of the Morpho II crew has their own story, but together they represent our creed: E pluribus unum— out of many, one. Together, we are ushering in a new era of exploration for a new generation of star sailors.”The crew assignments are as follows: Commander Finn Storms, Pilot Bennet “Ben” Solo, and Mission Specialist Rose Tico. They will work as a team to execute an ambitious set of demonstrations during the flight test. The approximately 10-day Morpho II flight test will launch on the agency’s powerful Space Launch System rocket, prove the Monarch spacecraft’s life-support systems, and validate the capabilities and techniques needed for humans to live and work in deep space.“For the first time in more than 50 years, these individuals – the Morpho II crew – will be the first humans to fly to the vicinity of the Moon,” continued Holdo. “Among the crew are the first woman, first person of color, and first second generation astronaut on a lunar mission, and all three astronauts will represent the best of humanity as they explore for the benefit of all.

Ben wandered down the platform looking for a quiet bench so he could scroll his phone in peace. That’s when, two platforms away, he heard a familiar laugh.

His feet slowed, his steps faltering as he felt like the ground had been pulled from under him. Slowly, almost against his will, Ben turned toward the sound.

Rey.

She was facing away from him, her hair pulled back in the three bun style she favored. She wasn’t alone. She was facing a man, about her height, with sandy blond hair and a beard. He was currently leaning down to kiss her.

It was like watching a train crash. Ben knew he should look away. Knew there was nothing to be gained by watching. But he couldn’t tear his eyes away. His chest tightened as his mind raced ahead of what he was seeing, bracing for what came next
