Lucky 200 in a Yashica 24 that might be familiar to @donkeyislandpress.co.uk I like the colours, but it turns out the rolls I bought were from an early batch that had defects in it
I spent most of the week home with the flu, but this showed up in time to be good compant
We buried my father on Wednesday. It still feels weird to type those words..... I loved him, I'm absolutely devastated that he is gone
This is my daily driver, the Chinon CE-5. Small, light, Pentax mount, 1/2000 maximum shutter speed, manual and aperture priority, accurate meter, surprisingly good native glass. And they sell for about £50
I managed to sneak into London yesterday(doing some event photography for a friend) and also made it to the Jennie Baptiste show in Somerset house. Music photography, portraiture and documentary photography, but also both colour and B&W darkroom work. Highly recommend
While buying a couple of things from Process Supplies, my finger may have slipped and ordered some paper
I have about a dozen rolls of vision3 film from Carnival weekend to work my way through, so yesterday was contact sheets and one work print
Darkroom bathroom time. Now we are doing prints from the three rolls of B&W film I took to Carnival
The nights are getting shorter, so back onto the bathroom darkroom. First up, some postcard prints for @craftymoni.bsky.social's postcard exchanges
Since we are coming up on long evenings, we are entering the darkroom portion of the year. Finally standardised on one set of enlarging lenses for everything, covering the entire range of negatives from half frame to 6x9
I think you'll appreciate this. A random street portrait that turned out to be Paralympian Dimitri Coutya and his(partner? Girlfriend?) In east London at the beginning of the year
Because I can't help but be curious, 2 rolls each of Noir 100 and 200 film for the medium format cameras. Noir is a house label of British film respooler "ThisishowIRoll" and is very, very likely Svema film
I have just been to see this, and it is a solidly impressive body of work, worth a visit. More impressively, the majority of the B&W prints are labelled "hand printed by the artist"
Playing with panoramas and film stocks Kentmere 200, Svema 400 and an expired roll of Superia 200, all with the Bronica 135w back
I got to see this today at the Autograph in London, and strong recommend. See it while it is still up
The test rolls have arrived! Looking forward to seeing how well they do. I'm generally a fan of the Kentmere films, so I expect I'll be happy with what I get from them
Happy Birthday to @warboyssnapper.bsky.social! I hope you have a great holiday. Also, I don't know how this photo was 2 years ago. We are very overdue!
More colour darkroom shenanigans. This time, learning how to colour balance Harman Phoenix. It is unreasonably contrasty, but otherwise the colours are fine. Also, people keep saying the Intrepid Enlarger can't do colour but......
Tonight was some quick cooking, and then practicing making colour darkroom prints
