The news today from Tumbler Ridge, BC has been absolutely devastating. My thoughts are with everybody who has been affected by the tragic events as well as everyone in Canada. May those who were injured make full recoveries and may those taken away rest in peace.

#Christmas baking from Monday night - traditional Trinidadian Christmas cake or ‘black cake’. It takes a labour of love to make but it is a highlight of #TriniChristmas festivities. 🇹🇹

Traditional Trinidadian Christmas cake, made with fruits, rum and cherry brandy and coloured dark brown with molasses. Three large and three small cakes are present.
