They're not dead yet.

Nacon, which is home to 16 development studios as well as a publishing arm, said it was forced into the decision after its majority shareholder, Bigben Interactive, failed to make a loan repayment. It has now asked a French court for permission to restructure its debt.

“The aim of this procedure is to assess all possible solutions to ensure the sustainability of the Company's activity under the best possible conditions, protect employees, and preserve jobs, while renegotiating with its creditors in a calm and constructive framework,” Nacon said. This procedure will enable the Company to continue its business, renegotiate its debts, and develop a credible and effective continuation plan.” The Court is expected to make its decision at a hearing in early March.

A friend of mine built a Velomachus deck that would always cast boardwipes. Just about every time Velomachus attacked. It was effective, but that deck would be *awful* for a commander gameplay video. Some things just work better than others for videos. I can understand that.

This story was floating around bsky a few months ago. Afaik there hasn't been any proof that enabling Smart Features lets Google train AI off your emails. The article even has an answer from Google in there. Are they lying? Maybe. But that's a whole other issue. www.malwarebytes.com/blog/news/20...

Google did not immediately answer HuffPost’s question about the process of opting users in and out of these features, or the class action lawsuit. A spokesperson for Google told HuffPost via email that the reports are “misleading,” noting that “Gmail Smart Features have existed for many years, and we do not use your Gmail content for training our Gemini AI model.” The spokesperson added, “we are always transparent and clear if we make changes to our terms of service and policies.”
