This Beach Episode will be the most stacked Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon S: Jougai Rantou!? Shuyaku Soudatausen bracket of all time, with fighters from all over the nation. A volatile bracket full of explosive matches deserves a matching prize. Top fighters will meet this Saturday to claim...
I love the extremely specific set of niche nonsense that has led to this being a beloved meme we post on Thursday ahead of Friday Sailor Moon locals.
"I miss the good old days when games didn't ship with game breaking bugs" Old games:
Name a TV show you're positive no one remembers but you. I see nobody ever mention this. I had to pull this image from a Pakistani DVD shop because nobody has the real title card for the show. I'm pretty sure it was one of those things LatAm Cartoon Network picked up cause cheap.
Congratulations to top 3 of the last May Samurai Shodown 5 Special bracket at Balance Patch! 1. Branch (Mina) 2. @tamns0n.bsky.social (Kusaregedo, Ukyo) 3. @omnirabbit.bsky.social Vods: www.youtube.com/playlist?lis... That was pretty fun! Maybe we should samsho again sometime.
This Friday June 5, come celebrate the 8th anniversary of Boston Sailor Moon S! We're going back to where it all started with an SNES mini and no adapters, just like old times. Come experience the magic we did after Combo Breaker 2018. Winner takes this copy of Daikatana!
It's fun seeing the tricks magazines played with these press kits, too. Argentinian magazine Next Level uses a Donkey Kong render from Mario Party (CD 207) for their "The year of Rareware" feature.
Most mags appear to have taken their own screenshots. The only people who used press kit images were in Argentinian magazine "Next Level" , Page 16 of April 1994 issue: retrocdn.net/images/4/40/... It also features this fellow, so it's definitely the same source.
Buried deep in an unsorted pile in CD 239 (Did Eidos ever hear of folders???) is high-resolution art for game "Vermin", which was announced, previewed in a couple mags (notably not GamePro!) and fell off the face of the earth. Only one of these images from the press kit pops up anywhere (left).
I just noticed this is how it's listed on the Combo Breaker page. Given how the bracket went yesterday, gosh, we sure are, huh?
Here's a hint for the "special prize". When you see the prize, you will understand.
me: right-to-left katakana isn't real, it can't hurt you right-to-left katakana:
yeah sure I'll post engagement bait while the webbed site is actively on fire, why not
