This is my first painting.

Painting of a house on fire. The house is silhouetted against a raging fire. The shape of the house is clear, but there are no details. A memory, or a nightmare. There is a tiny silhouette of a cat over the house, their tail making it seem like they are a part of the home.

In the foreground, a kneeling/collapsed figure faces what they have done. Their long dark shadow stretching off the canvas towards the viewer. The silhouette has negative spaces that can be seen as a screaming face; an indication of inner turmoil.
