Montague, also known by his nickname Duck, is a character from the popular children's franchise, Thomas and Friends. For those who don't know, the series mostly revolves around the adventures of a bunch of talking trains doing things that trains do. So you'd think that none of them would have a bunch of people thirsting or simping over them, right? Wrong, such is the case with Duck.

Basic Information

Duck is a tank engine that came from the Great Western Railway, something that he takes great pride in. He also runs his own branch line on the island of Sodor, where the series mainly takes place. He has been the protagonist of several episodes and was only a main character in the first few seasons.

Been thinking a lot about classic Lego Pirates. And classic 9v Trains. I think the late 80s/early 90s might have just been peak Lego on all counts.

Tomodachi Life rules. I have the magical irradiated jackal I played one time in D&D and a fucking McDonald’s toy mutually longing for each other romantically while I bang my head against the wall because somehow neither has asked the other out after crushing for almost a week. This is my doomed OTP.

Leff, a jackal beastfolk who uses an ancient radioactive artifact to undergo a magical anime protagonist transformation. They use a magical red-hot axe that can turn into dual pistols that shoot molten lead.

You can’t see any of that here, though. This is how they look in their civilian clothes. If they look kind of dopey that’s because they are.

Instead of using a powered center rail and outer rails with a shared ground, Trix Express’s center rail was a shared ground and each outside rail had its own isolated power! By mounting the pickups on your engines to the separate rails you could independently control two trains on the same track!

Been playing a lot of Tomodachi Life: LTD. One of the treasures is a model train, so naturally I had to figure out what it is. It’s a vintage HO scale Trix Express BR 80020, specifically the version w/o a smokebox headlight. You can even see the pickup shoes if you look under the buffer beam! Neat!

It’s kind of wild that the 2-8-0 Consolidation that Bachman introduced almost 30 years ago was so ahead of its time that they just keep making them using the same tooling and it’s STILL remained one of the better small/medium sized steam locomotives on the HO scale market.

I don't even hate the realistic look, but I can't say I understand why Nintendo would introduce Fox to a new generation of kids in the Mario Galaxy Movie looking like this and follow it up with a game where he looks like this. Gerry Conway was one of the greatest to ever do it. A few years back I was reading through all the Silver and Bronze Age Spider-Man books and his run was FOUNDATIONAL for what Spider-Man would become going forward. To think he started writing these stories at 19 years old… Rest in Peace.

Found this guy on YouTube who kitbashed a Lionel 785 Hudson to look like a gunmetal grey 763E. I dig the idea of having a faux 763E that smokes and doesn't require O-72 curves. I'd use a spare boiler shell if I did this myself, so I could always swap the original shell and tender back freely. :3
