First harvest of organic Charlotte new potatoes with home grown garlic and a simple salad of freshly picked beetroot, lettuce leaves and radish. Garlic is ready to harvest and dry this week and should see us through till next year Asparagus from local organic supplier.
The organic Italian and French Garlic very close to harvest now - leaving Nepalese Himalayan garlic a couple weeks more as planted later - large bulbs forming and looks like a great harvest, ex rugby hand for scale. Just ran out of last years harvest so pulled a couple early to keep us going. 💚 🧄 💚
Yes I like elephant garlic but prefer the stronger flavours of the Italian and French garlics - they thrive on volcanic ash dressing - a tip from Terry Walton
