Wiarton Willie has predicted an early spring. The famed groundhog made his Groundhog Day forecast at 8:07 a.m. EST in Wiarton, Ontario. Willie did not see his shadow, signalling an early end to winter. Unfortunately Willie hasn’t had the best history of predictions with only 29% being correct.
Maybe it helps the doddering old dude find his way when his caregivers aren't nearby.
