Here is what a happy relaxed man looks like. Palm Springs (my happy place) relaxed and completely chilled out.
Out shopping at one of my FAVORITE stores, world market. Besides the fabulous pillows and furnishings I always love the international food isles. Did you know 7up sells pink lemonade and Coke has cherry float? 🙂
Flashback Friday. Rewards? Over 100 pounds gone. Lower A1C, cholesterol, blood pressure, smaller size jeans & a feeling of accomplishment. I started cause I wanted to be healthier & I had just came out & wanted to be more comfortable with the man I am inside & out.
Dental surgery Thursday (pulled 2 teeth, inserted posts for crowns) have to avoid all lifting for 7-10 days. Strenuous activity can dislodge blood clots, trigger bleeding, & worsen swelling. jaw clenching during lifts threatens the stability of the surgical site. Can’t wait to get back to the gym.
Happy Saturday, three day weekend or whatever it is you are doing today. I’m out and about doing one of my favorite things. SHOPPING!
On a business trip in the Columbia river gorge so I’m grabbing a little pool time.
Things I do differently now. wear clothes that fit me, I’m more confident. I don’t let the number on the scale determine my worth. I catch myself when I hear myself say negative things about myself. I’m learning to accept compliments. Now I just need to get out there & be more social and live life.
Just home from the gym. Mid week. Checking out my progress. Sometimes I can’t believe how much weight I’ve lost and how much my body has changed. Seeing results is the best motivator.
Back to reality. I wanted to sleep in but I got up and went to the gym. First day back from paradise. At least my tan looks good at the gym.
I just spent 4 days sitting around the pool. As I looked at the various bodies of all shapes and sizes, young and old, I did catch myself saying on occasion, wow. What a beautiful physique. Still working on mine so one day I could be one of those guys by the pool that someone says wow, look at him.
All packed and ready to go. I enjoyed my time away. Maybe next time I’ll be a little more social and join in on those pool parties and conversations. Glad I went.
Another hot one today. Goals today are to do a little shopping and get some more sunshine and stay cool and hydrated.
