I’m drawing pages of THE PATCHWORK GIRL OF OZ VOL 2 today featuring the Scarecrow. He’s my 2nd favorite character in Oz after the Wicked Witch of the West, and it’s kind of like working with a celebrity. Drawing this book is joyful in ways I haven’t felt since I was a kid.

I received these charming direct messages on Instagram today for the sin of condemning the celebration of political violence. For what it’s worth… I condemn all violence based on creed, race, sexuality, eye color, hair color, weight, movie tastes, etc etc etc. ✌️

Issues 4 and 5 of THE PATCHWORK GIRL OF OZ were the most fun I’ve ever had drawing a comic, mostly because I’ve never had a character like Scraps in my toolbox. And even though drawing all of those patches is a nightmare, I look forward to drawing her for 15 more issues. ❤️💙💜💛💚🧡

Happy birthday to Jack “The King” Kirby! 🎂👑🎉 Last month I used some pencil drawings by a few artists to practice inking. One of those drawings was Jack’s. I liked how it turned out so I threw some color on it. ⬇️ It was so much fun examining the lines of a true master.

I finally got my copy of Magnetic Press’s PLANET OF THE APES RPG and it’s wonderful. They put together a terrific product. Great art and design! And even though I may never play it, I’m happy to have been a part of the Kickstarter campaign. Congratulation to all involved!
