Nah, still doing the thing. It's only when there are darker parts of the picture. It just erases them. I have this reverse shot of Jesse opening a chest, and the chest is glowing, and she's in shadow, and it just erases everything. And changes the color. There's no filter or anything.

Gods. Going from Wilds back to Rise is like night and day. Look how vibrant and colorful this Great Baggi is. Look how easy to read all their features are. Even with all the blues around them.

For Atlas I just wanted some kind of spirit puppy, so I went silvery blue and gold. For Prometheus I wanted some kind of spiritual advisor, so I picked the fur with the heart on the forehead. I don't think I was very successful, but it's fine. They just have to blow stuff up.

I was desperate to end up with something a little different than usual. Notice. No ponytail. No amber eyes. No red hair. We went blue. Idk their name yet.

I couldn't decide for my RiseBreak hunter. So I let a computer decide for me. I hope it isn't AI. It just seemed like a basic code thing, but idk.

So I was all ready to make fun of Miyazaki's fetish for all things feet, bisexual icon he is. I mean. He at least doesn't seem to have a gender preference for his foot models. Anyways. Nevermind. This Priest outfit I found in 5-1 has these weird tabi and I couldn't figure out why. But...!

At first I thought these were silver skeletons, but that's not entirely correct. If you look close, there's mummified flesh beneath the "bones," and the armor itself is comprised of several different (presumably demon) skulls. Calf armor has a long snout biting down on ankles, thigh has fangs...

These Blue Knights are weird. Apparently the source of *so* many classic FromSoft animations. Maybe even their AI, too. I swear one did the Crucible Knight (from Elden Ring) step-thrust punish when I went to heal. Anyways. Stole his move.

The second blacksmith. Uh... Ed? He seems to have some reptilian blood, like the enemies in this area. But with a stereotypical inventor costume and normal human facial features overlayed. But he's at a forge. In the desert. Because of the heat, I assume. :3

A lot of that is down to FromSoft's excellent design work, but it's been updated beautifully here. This is the Dregling Merchant. This is the basic "zombie soldier" enemy type. Except an NPC. Look at all the little details. The chest, gold teeth, keyring, the defensive posture... Is cool.

Again, again! More Maiden in Black. Kicking her feet, as mentioned above. I think I really like the way Bluepoint updated these designs. I have no feelings about the original. Never played it. Watched a playthrough once. And Max play through this. NPCs have such personality.

This is framed a little better in the actual shot, but I really like it. This man is the son of the King of Boletaria (the first level, accessed through the big stone you see to his right). After helping him out a couple times, he showed up here, sitting on a tiny arch. Had to grab a pic. :3

This is the main enemy type in the first level of the second world. The mines. They're actually reptilian and even have the tongue and do the snake thing.

We could have had Stockpile Samwise characters all this time instead of disembodied storage boxes. Thomas is a big ol' sweetie, just lookin' after everything.
