I’ve been using Google Fi since 2019 and it’s been great. Used about 10GB on this trip, but since I’m on the unlimited plan, I only pay for the days I used it. Super convenient—probably costs around 9,000 KRW.
I usually carry around two MacBooks, but they get pretty heavy, so I swapped my work MacBook from a 14” MacBook Pro M1 to a 13” MacBook Air M4 with 32GB of RAM. It’s a bit of a shame it’s not in Sky Blue, but it’s been a while since I’ve had a new MacBook.
On the latest macOS, I was having a hard time because this notification kept appearing saying that an app is accessing the user's screen. github.com/luckman212/s... I finally found this and it doesn't pop up anymore.
The SWAG I got or bought from #GoogleCloudNext25. There were tons of booths, but not many were giving out t-shirts. And it was tough going around to all of them, so I couldn’t collect that much haha.
Did they plant something indoors or what? It’s so convenient how the Cloud Next app shows my current location right on the map. Usually, I struggle at first trying to find my way around, but it picks up really well even indoors.
The keynote officially kicked off Google Cloud Next ‘25! As expected, it’s all about AI, but Google has so many assets that there’s a lot they could do well. I’ll have to try it out, but there are definitely some interesting things in there… haha.
The OpenAI repository shows the User in the SSH command as something unusual like org-14957082 instead of git. It seems peculiar, maybe I haven't paid attention to it before. What's different about it?
It was my first time visiting China, and I went without any plans (honestly, I didn’t do much…), but it was fun! :)
Enjoying the iconic coffee of the American West, Peet’s Coffee, in Beijing!
I bought the third series of HHKB colored keycaps, the Dandelion series. Since HHKB keycaps are rare, I decided to purchase them while they were available. (I couldn’t buy the first series, the pink ones, though…)
Oh! The MacBook Air M4 feels like you can open the MacBook and connect two external displays!
I tried the BMW Driving Center Starter Pack, which I had wanted to experience. Not sure if I’ll remember it in an emergency, but learning understeering and emergency avoidance was fun. Since I’m used to regenerative braking, using the brakes a lot felt awkward.
I was surprised to learn GitHub had an email hiding feature since 2013, seemingly enabled by default for new accounts. I was confused because I felt the GPG signature was breaking when merging, and this was the reason.
The book sent by Insight Publisher! I really like the topic, but I have so many unread books piled up that I have no idea when I’ll be able to read it…ㅠ
I used to use Kindle and Ridi Paper, but I recently purchased the reMarkable Paper Pro. While it’s closer to a notebook than an e-book reader, I decided to complement it with the Onyx BOOX Palma 2 for a more portable setup.
Connecting three together and enjoying them makes me feel pretty good every time I see them. I thought about it a lot, but it feels satisfying. (Though I wonder if they would have looked even better if they were placed a bit closer together…) #AtmophWindowYo
I bought the Atmoph Window Yo, something I had been wanting for a while. Since it’s a newly released model, I was a bit worried, but the build quality is better than expected, and the software seems decent (though the app is slightly disappointing).
I originally planned to endure for another year, but my watch couldn't last a day without charging, so I switched from Watch 7 to 10. I received an appraisal of 110,000 won through Apple Trade-In, but I wish they had kept the price as assessed.
The GeekNight 2024 lightning talks were fun. It was nice to meet many people I hadn’t seen in a while (I should also quickly get back to my side project…).
My Apple Watch 7 is draining its battery in about 3 hours, which seems unusual even considering battery degradation. Should I consider replacing the watch? 😢
I’ve been working at Danggn for four years now. I had forgotten about it because the country has been in turmoil, but my colleagues congratulated me. Four years—so much has happened, and it went by quickly.
I often look at 60-key HHKB keyboards but never found one I liked until I couldn’t resist the Black Friday sale and bought an HHKB. This is my third HHKB Pro Hybrid model, following the HHKB Pro 2 and HHKB Pro BT, purchased after eight years. I’ve always bought black, so this time I chose white. :)
