So, this is where Wonder Woman's weakness of being bound by a man first originated. I think there's interesting symbolism there, but it's not really needed nowadays; some things belong in the Golden Age.
You know, i always thought if Midnight from My Hero Academia being a BDSM super-hero themed, was an intentional reference to Golden Age Wonder Woman
Wonder Woman origin for more than 70 years: Diana of Themyscera, was sculped from the Clay by her mother and give life by the Goddessess, she's the ultimate proof of mathernal love, untouched by the patriarch NEW 52 Happens:
I don't think any of these movies are perfect, they both have their problems, but between them, i honetly prefer the 2017 movie. Chris Pine's Steve Trevor is way nicer than the Animated version
Guy who thinks Christopher Nolan only made The Odyssey because of Epic The Musical
Aesthetically, I’d like to see something similar with *Masters of the Universe* for the DCU Wonder Woman
I hope the success of *Odyssey* influences the DCU's Wonder Woman—not in terms of tone or aesthetics btw, but by making a mythological movie with actual greek gods and creatures One of the biggest letdowns regarding the DCEU's Wonder Woman was the decision to have Ares kill off all the Greek gods.
I think i definitely prefer Wonder Woman's town being Gateway City over Boston or Washington DC, both Batman,Superman,Flash and Green Lantern all have their fictional town, i don't see why Diana should have a real one
You know, I kinda hope the future DCU Paradise Lost show use Heracles as the main villain
You know, considering how much Hera hates Zeus's children in Greek mythology i think it would be really interesting if she had becomed a exclusive villain to Cassie
Does the Martians in Young Justice have the same addiction for chocos as in the comics? It would be funny if Megan had developed an addiction to chocos like J'onn
Patty Jenkins need to pay for her crimes, because people are unironically comparing Wonder Woman with fucking Bear from Obsession
I do think it's funny how both Greek and norse are real in both Marvel and DC, the norse is much more important in Marvel and the Greek is much more important in DC
Sometimes i forgot Hippolyta is an actual character from Greek mythology and not a character DC invented
Medusa had her head cut off by Percy and was later resurrected, only to have her head cut off again by Diana
Imagine how crazy it would be if Percy Jackson and DC shared the same world Thalia and Jason have a half-sister who is constantly saving the world with the Teen Titans When she isn't running a spa, Circe tries to kill Wonder Woman
I randomly remembered the Percy Jackson movies, where, for some reason, they age up the main character by 16 years. Like, why? If their plan was to create a Harry Potter-style franchise, wouldn't it have made more sense to cast 12-year-olds so they’d be young enough to last throughout the franchise?
Interesting how in the golden age Mary Marvel got her powers from female gods and heroes, even more that she got her strenght from Hyppolyta,it would be intesting bring back this to the modern age and have the Marvel and Wonder families Interact more
So, i think to keep the theme of military patent in the name, Pedro, Darla, and Eugene could be called Sergeant, Lieutenant, and Commander Marvel.
Did Darla, Eugene and Pedro ever got their own codename? I don't know if Billy returned to be called Captain Marvel, last time i saw he was being called "The Captain" in the Shazam run by Waid, but now apparently he returned to be called Captain Marvel in Waid's Justice League Unlimited
I love how Morrison mirrors the JLA to the greek gods I wonder who Martian Manhunter would be tho. Chiron?Hestia?
DCU Batman, if it were up to me. Both Morrison and Dennis O'Neil compared Batman with Bond, i think they should make a full action spy Batman movie, it would be a great way to differentiate with the detective noir from Matt Reeves
