I LOST SO MANY FOLLOWERS LMFAOO literally proving my point😭 but here is a more detailed explanation to what i actually meant. if my post hurts your feelings, reflect as to why

i do think it's ok to eat meat from time to time! it doesn't align with my personal goals but i'd respect someone who is on a "meat once a week" diet as it shows they are willing to sacrifice some of their comfort for the greater good
i myself am not perfect. for the sake of social life and because of picky eating, i still eat fish once in a while. i still mostly havent let go of eggs and diary products. but i don't think putting on a blindfold to the consequences of our actions is the way to go. which is what my post was about

i didn’t say you can’t be leftist and eat meat. BUT ecology and social welfare are closely linked. those who have no money are the ones suffering the most from climate change. you can’t ignore climate to favor social issues. that’s what my og post meant. also imo being leftist means reconsidering the harm of one’s behavior. which should also apply to eating meat as well. considering how bad it is for the environment, for animals, and for your health.

yeah i don't think if you eat meat you are a bad person by default, i just think its important to know the industry we are supporting and not blind ourselves to those issues. i also think it's important to have empathy for animals because we are all sentient beings and we need more kindness actually

but i genuinely encourage everyone to look into textured soy proteins (found mostly in organic grocery stores online or irl) as they are the best of the best at imitating the texture of meat (the taste is up to your own seasoning as always) at a very low cost (11€/kg) and only one single ingredient

lots of things that are not meat have lots of proteins😭😭 sometimes even more so. faux meat is NOT expensive like that’s what i ate yesterday it’s only made of SOY nothing else it’s 50% proteins this cost me 1€ max. it’s less expensive than meat in the current economic climate.

- empathy. no matter where you buy your meat or eggs or diary products. the very very vast majority of animals live and die in extremely poor, nightmarish conditions. even if you picture the worst things that could happen it’s nowhere near as bad.
