Good morning and I hope you're having a good #PostboxSaturday This double EIIR box is on Boston Street, Holyhead.

A double red postbox in front of a partly derelict whitewashed building. The entrance to the building has a storm porch supported by stone pillars. Behind the postbox is a window with with graffiti on it.

A rather splendid kissing gate at Church Bay/Porth Swtan, Anglesey.

A wooden kissing gate set at the top of steps with grass behind it. The gate wouldn't look out of place at the entrance to a churchyard with the lower half being a plain picket-like construction and the upper half arched.

Good morning and I hope you're having a good #PostboxSaturday This ERII pedestal box is on the edge of woodland near Nant Bwlch yr Haearn in North Wales.

I had a great few hours birding in the Conwy valley with my pal Steve Culley this morning. We saw/heard pied flycatcher, redstart, wood warbler, tree pipit, crossbill and cuckoo. What a magic few hours!

I used to live in Bolton on the border with Wigan Borough. It stopped feeling like home when all the flags started being put up on lampposts. If I had any doubts about moving to Anglesey, I don't now.

As dawn broke we loaded the car to head home. Nightingales and corn buntings were singing but couldn't be seen but we did see a black redstart singing on the apex of the roof of the gite. A nice way to end the week. Homeward bound now. Au revoir #FirstBirdOfMyDay

We had a busy day morning running errands in the rain but just after lunch the rain stopped and we managed to get out for a walk in the woods in Nant y Pandy, Llangefni. There was plenty of bird activity including a good sized flock of chaffinches. The highlight was a couple of red squirrels.
