Finally found the Atlantic Ocean today. Here for a while. My childhood friend. ❤️
My holds for audiobooks for our road trip are in. Finishing Jojo Moyes then, Watership Down. I hope he still loves me after miles on the road. We both love Thursday Murder Club.
Took Siggy to the boarding place. We've missed her every second already (phantom sounds that she is scratching at the back door). But this dog zooming outside at the boarding spot, was so cute. He was romping with others. But this.. please sir, can I have some more? He had lots of space, cared for.
Finished the last one and my husband asked, what's next. Listen to this one. Well worth it. Libby.
Drove all over 2 states today. Ate excellent ramen, wildfires haze everywhere, then hung with a grandson back at home. Live your life.
Wise day at the library. Wildlife rescue group were our storytime partners. ❤️
Old lady garden I grow on my postage stamp cottage at a lake. You can do this. Romaine lettuce, basil, raspberries, tomatoes. Get real.
If you listen to one audiobook this year. I beg you all to read this one. It is everything. John Green narrating this is just..perfect. #librarytalk
My libby holds came in after months! The John Green book is outstanding. He is narrating the audiobook.
Ending the night listening to Jazz with an adult drink. Siggy likes jazz and she has had a bit of catnip. Nice end to our night.
Siggy came in, fireworks everywhere. We're listening loud inside to rock WQLN. She's chill, used to our music. I wish all that fireworks money could go to good causes.
Siggy thinks it's too hot outside too. It's 89 feels like 98. Storms are coming to cool us off.
Siggy was outside languishing in the heat all day like we were. I put coconut oil on my hands, petted her. She's in her cat tree licking herself into sleep. Anyone else have cats that love that?
Despite the heat we had 30 Brave souls doing sidewalk chalk artwork at Storytime today. Very creative.
It's 90 but feels like 98 here in NWPA. I stopped and got Chinese food for dinner on my way home from work. There will be no cooking here. I keep reminding others to check on seniors in their neighborhood. I'm the senior in my neighborhood! Marked safe today. Got this book.
As usual, all libby holds I've been waiting for are coming in after 26 weeks, all at once. Just looked this one over. Lovely! I'll read it again tomorrow.
The heatwave is here. Got up to 89, real feel 91. Worked, came home and made green lentils and sausage and my night in the AC is deciding which one to read first.
Busy, somewhat stressful lately. Took kids to the beach. I am my grandson right now. Love his vibe.
Siggy giving me the look out on the deck. Nothing to see here. She's so cute.
Summer means Siggy was outside all day. Came in, ate, got some petting. (Deck duty all day, she got love) She is spent. ❤️ I'm listening to Jazz before bed. All good in the world. Tons of fireflies out here tonight. Summer.
Working at the Kingdom of Knowledge today and haven't had a patron for an hour. Everyone is out having fun on this beautiful day. Here's an obscure book in our stacks. Enjoy! Pennsylvania Dutch Cookbook.
The 8:30 am sun was still golden. I drove down the dirt road. Window rolled down let crisp cool 60 degree air in my car. I picked up my grandson from his sleep over. Stopped to watch tiny killdeer babies, parents squawking. Got sour dough bread, chocolate muffins and donuts at the market. Calm.
A Pocketfu of Rocks was our storywalk today. We had 37 lovely walkers and sawdust filled pools with rocks, fossils, acorns, petals, shells and dinosaurs. Fun!
