Sitting listening to the north wind in the trees. We’ve been here since Saturday and I’ve read 2 novels already and swum probably 13 times, and eaten lots of good food. There is no better vacation than an Ontario cottage.
post the best picture you have ever taken of your pet (if you feel like it)
That’s a beautiful pizza! Apparently I take a lot of pictures of my pizzas too
Me too! I’m wearing it right now. Just a rough piece, not a proper cabochon. I was in DR the first week of April and brought the cut piece and some jewelry home. 🩵 it’s so beautiful!!
Larimar, a variety of pectolite found only in Dominican Republic. This silicate mineral fills cavities (vugs) in Miocene-age volcanic rocks. The blue colour comes from iron & vanadium. It was named in 1974 for the daughter of Miguel Méndez (Larissa) and the Spanish word for sea (mar). #geology
Ottawa Ontario. -5° Celsius, overcast, snowing lightly. High of 2°C. Cardinals are singing. :)
Rocky is keeping me company on the couch with our new Christmas blanket.
Having a peaceful cup of tea with the dogs and cat while the (adult) children slumber on. Bread dough is rising and all is well here at home. Wishing you a Merry Christmas.
It’s a cold damp night. Homemade split-pea soup with ham and fresh rolls from the bakery for supper were just the ticket!
