Leeds Women in Black A young man told us he had lost 25 family members in an Israeli bombing raid. He showed their pictures. We can't imagine his grief and suffering; some died instantly as their bodies were blown apart; others slowly, mutilated and bleeding. The genocide must stop. #FreePalestine
This week our action at the Leeds forces recruitment office was a bit different. We read the names of children killed in Gaza before they were one tear old. We gave out 60 little cakes as a reminder that they never got to celebrate a single birthday
This revolting event has been organised for tomorrow to coincide with the weekly march for Palestine which passes the Corn Exchange in Leeds (They refer to the Corner Exchange implying these are people who don't know Leeds)
Leeds Women in Black today* Hostile man, "have you got nothing better to do" Friendly man, "it won't do any good, they won't listen" But many people thank us. We won't give in to hopelessness. *We do this every Tuesday. I can't always post
Leeds Women in Black today. Palestine - Gaza and West Bank - has slipped from the UK headlines. We know the killing and destruction continues and Palestinians live in fear. We found greater awareness amongst the public and more compassion, despite the lack of coverage in the traditional media. 🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸
Outside Leeds Armed Forces Office. We're here every Tuesday 11 to 12. Join us.
Leeds Women in Black We stand in silent vigil for Palestine every Tuesday 12.30 to 1.30 Join us if you can.
Leeds Armed Forces Recruitment Office Today we read out the names of Palestinian children murdered by Israelis We are there 11 to 12 every Tuesday. Join us
We're asking the armed forces to enforce a ceasefire / let aid into Gaza and not to enable a Please join us outside the forces recruitment centre in Leeds on a Tuesday at 11 am ... 🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸
Leeds Women in Black yesterday Some people say we’re wasting our time; others walk by most Tuesdays to gain reassurance and hope for the future. They take their hope back to work. We have hope for Palestine, a viable and prosperous state where Palestinians flourish and live in peace 🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸
The genocide has not stopped, there is no ceasefire, Palestinian children are still being killed Don't stop talking about Palestine 🇵🇸
Leeds Women in Black today. A one sided ceasefire. Israel continues to murder unarmed Palestinians, bomb Lebanon, seize land and massacre its civilian population, execute Palestinian prisoners without trial and our Government - led by a so-called former human rights lawyer - doesn’t bat an eyelid.
Outside Leeds Forces recruitment office today We read out details of the horrendous conditions of Palestinians imprisoned by Israel: torture, sexual abuse, extreme humiliation of men, women and even children. Now a law allowing execution of Palestinians with no possibility of reprieve.
Leeds Women in Black pre march photocall No jury No judge No justice Just hangings for Palestinian prisoners
@bbcnewsnight.bsky.social You ask us to send you things. This march has happened in Leeds every Saturday since October 2023. Never been on the news- not even local news
Leeds Women in Black. We continue to speak out against the Genocide and the complicity of the UK government. Some people shared their outrage and sadness with us today; others ignored us or told us we were stupid. We are in Dortmund Square every Tuesday 12.30-1.30. All women are welcome to join us.
Today outside the Armed Forces Recruitment Office we read the names of all the journalists who have been murdered in Palestine. In some cases their whole families were wiped out. Our government supports this.
