It's all very fishy. The Georgian is have denied that the ship was headed there, and the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman has denied Ukrainian involvement. It seems an oddly low-value target, and suspiciously light damage. Some kind of Russian false flag perhaps?
There will be a protest in support of #NoKings outside the US embassy in London tomorrow at 1pm. Rather diplomatically, it's been renamed #NoTyrants, though given today's news about Prince Andrew, perhaps it should have been called #NoDukes! bsky.app/profile/indi...
Not as much as you might think, as several of the middle tanks were destroyed earlier.
Hopefully just the warm up for tomorrow's protest Trump isn't welcome here! stoptrump.org.uk/protest/
Olmert actually said "Yes, we are committing war crimes", no "close to" there!
Trump is remaking the USA after the image of Putin's Russia, so why would we be surprised by him allying with Russia. The UK must work with European allies to defend democracy, and that starts with ensuring Ukraine gets everything it needs to defeat the brutal Russian invasion.
Trump is a traitor. If you're in London Join the demonstration at the US embassy today, and let them know what you think of their government's actions!
There will be a rally in support of Ukraine outside Downing Street in London this afternoon, from 2PM, as European leaders (and Canada) meet to discuss the defence of Ukraine. Please join the rally if you can, and make it clear that we #StandWithUkraine 🇺🇦🇪🇺🇬🇧🇨🇦
It's not listed yet, but there will also be a demonstration in solidarity with Ukraine in Cambridge, UK, at 5.30pm on Monday 24th February.
We know their tricks & we've heard their lies before. Wherever we are, we must take to the streets on this 3rd anniversary of Russia's brutal full-scale invasion of Ukraine. We must demonstrate our solidarity with the people of Ukraine, and demand that our governments ramp up military support.
It's time to mobilise and send our political leaders the message that they must reject the Putin-Trump Axis, and stand up for democracy and freedom in Europe by standing with Ukraine!
Europe can't agree to that, and will have to quickly invest more to demonstrate our collective resolve. This applies to the UK as much as any other European democracy, we can't muddle along and hope it all works out any more.
Well said Ed! UK and other European democracies must double their support for Ukraine and ramp up defence spending. Will you be speak at the Ukraine Solidarity protest outside the Russian embassy on Saturday 22nd February? 12 noon, St Volodymyr's Statue, W113QY ukrainesolidaritycampaign.org
It's on mornings like this I remember what a beautiful city Cambridge is.
Ten years ago today, in what became known as #Euromaidan, thousands of young Ukrainians gathered in Independence Square in Kyiv to defend their country's democracy, freedom and chosen European path against the autocratic and corrupt President Viktor Yanukovych. #StandWithUkraine
"Remembering means fighting for freedom" Every Saturday at 2 PM there is a #StandWithUkraine vigil on King's Parade, Cambridge, organised by Cambridge4Ukraine. On #ArmisticeDay we remembered those who died to preserve democracy & freedom in past wars, and those fighting for it in Ukraine today.
