Bookworm. Gameologist. Jazz pianist. Writer. Partner of Dr. Melissa Marver. Covid and biosphere collapse conscious. He/Him. PFP Alt: detail from "Garden of Earthly Delights" in which a bird is dangling a berry over small humans with their mouths agape.
Here she is doing the rare "hide your eyes" + blep combo the other night in bed.
Just stumbled across this 5-year-old screenshot from an episode of the Great British Baking Show while I was cleaning up my desktop. It remains unfortunately relevant.
I loved "Hello Sunshine" and want to see a sequel! So I went ahead and dropped this line. You should, too, if you've read and liked the graphic novel even half as much as I did.
Reposting this incredible image with alt-text. Melissa and I are in constant awe and despair over how many people regularly spray their (mono-culture, ecologically inappropriate and invasive grass) lawns with pesticides and herbicides in our neighborhood. This illustrates why.
Ok, I'll bite on the 9 Games thing. Hard to narrow it down to 9, but these will do. Some honorable mentions would be Out of the Park Baseball and Football Manager, Grim Dawn & Titan Quest, Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, Mass Effect, Civilizations 2 & 4, To the Moon, Risk of Rain, and Terra Invicta.
This is a deeply weird combination of topics to receive commentary on via email from my doctor's office. I guess if I get the former wrong it might lead to the latter?
Melissa says she got this one when she was frustrated with her manager at an old job.
You're welcome. You make beautiful art. Here are a few more, and I'm happy to see that some other folks have sent you pictures as well.
Here's one of her more chaotic ones. Maybe not the best for drawing? Anyway, we have more that I'll try to send when I have a chance.
My partner Melissa has a collection of cool/weird/hand made mugs, so here's a few.
Both figuratively and literally! Not enough Americans realize that there are still literally hundreds of indigenous nations inside US borders. (reposting with a better resolution map)
As a musician who does a lot of playing very weird, out-there jazz into the ether, this is legitimately beautiful. Thank you @strategictaper.bsky.social and @plumbertim.bsky.social.
Once again confronting the apparent impossibility of calling fascists evil without using ableist language. "Cruel" is good, but the other three are a gut punch. The thing that sucks about (insert person here) is not fatness or stupidity or dementia. The PFP is quite the kicker.
Obligatory recent picture from in front of my partner's mom's fireplace.
"This ask is not reasonable" is, incidentally, the exact rhetoric used against Universal Basic Income, Single Payer Healthcare, reduction in carbon consumption and emissions, and countless other important and progressive things.
