It bears mentioning that these comparatively modern mini-henges are not emulating more ancient megaliths and symbolic places. They have been placed / dumped there for purely cosmetic and practical reasons. These are here primarily to stop local youths turning this open space into a football pitch
Has anyone made a study of modern urban megaliths? Many mid to late 20th century urban spaces and housing estates have rock piles like these. This spectacular array in Currie,nr Edinburgh is only enhanced by this magnificent tree remnant. #megaliths #stonecircles #folklore @stoneclub.bsky.social
Sad times. In the 1970s I had a Budgie (Aka: Baby Chopper), a real Chopper and then a Grifter, Raleigh's attempt at a BMX, but the designers had only ever seen a photo of a BMX. It weighed a ton. Many a grazed knee and elbow coming off a bit of wood propped up on bricks, DIY Evel Kinevel style.
I thought it was an artwork made up by @willmac23.bsky.social just for the book. That’s really cool. And there it is, track 10 on Led Zeppelin II.

Still looks pretty good though. The back to front, inverted thing always trips me up. So if you printed yours with gold ink on black paper it would be 'correct' ? That might be worth a try. Mine has a big black background which limits things. I could print on gold paper I suppose...

He also did a couple of pretty out there 2000ad covers that still stick in my memory. The first one reminds mo of Slaine going into a warpspasm.
They said the comic was complete in 2025. They had a pretty hefty chunk of it done in 2021 and published in Shift, so there’s no reason for this much of a delay. It’s sad, I’m a friend of Gary but there’s a time to call it quits. I’ve asked for a refund.
She wrote a trilogy of young adult books based on that period of her life.

Thanks buddy. It looks better the other way. Most of it is salvaged or plants from garden centre 'search and rescue' corners. It's been a bit of work.

Sorry, John. Wouldn't touch this with a bargepole. It's one thing to stand against cancel culture, but to still be using Frazer Brown review quotes to plug your products is unforgivable. I recall he was also linked to contributing to Brown's #TFTQ 'sequel'. The British comic community remembers.
