Back in the house so I’ll put a different spin on it #harddays26 Birthday boy is sleeping like a log
What an enjoyable half hour. What a record! Thanks for organising John; the parties are always such fun. And since I’m in the garage I may play Beatles Rock Band! #harddays26
I have, of course, already got the 20-page booklet, Eric, that came with the album. And it’s quite possibly the only one signed by all four of you! But I couldn’t resist the beautiful 8-track cartridge when I saw it, even although I’ve nothing to play it on!
@ericidle.bsky.social Do you think the 20-page booklet is still available? @daveharrison.bsky.social @jontrevithick.bsky.social #rutles #therutles
The podcast is great. It sends you down all sorts of avenues. It contextualises and melds everything together. Just read the Merseybeat book as a result and loved it. Great work Chris helping create a unified picture of the past.
I got this beauty in Oslo. Hope it got there from Taiwan I’ll never know

There’s more ridiculous than that. Look up the Assai and silver editions to mention only two
I’m loving your new pod Chris 👏 I’m about to start @samiraahmeduk.bsky.social ‘s book and have the perfect book mark
Also worth noting it is Ripples IN a Pond. You can see from the tape on the picture from 2/23 and from the handwritten lyrics in the LP that he has changed it from Ripples On to Ripples In, which I think is a far better lyric taking the impact beyond the (what has become a metaphorical) pond
“I’m sorry, I don’t know ‘Crimea River’… but if you hum it, I’ll play along.”
It’s a great ethos that if you do paint your masterpiece, you’d just have to do another one
