They're real in Canada! Also picked up the new maple flavour Oreos the last time I went to the grocery store, but haven't tried them yet
No shortage of lightning in southeast Saskatchewan and southern Manitoba this evening
Great light show. This was the best one I got on video. Plenty of other better ones when I wasn't recording
Total from the evening of Mar 14 to the morning of Mar 20 at my place was 237.2mm. Southwest Coquitlam, between Lougheed Mall and Ikea, 55m ASL
A few minutes of snow just ended in Coquitlam. 55m ASL. Didn't stick at all
Started snowing at around 9:15 in southwest Coquitlam. Temperature has dropped from 1.1°C to 0.8°C in the past half hour
One of those showers looks rather heavy. View looking east from the Port Mann Bridge bike path
Had small hail that got quite heavy for a bit in Coquitlam. Didn't feel nice on the face when biking down the hill by Ikea!
Social media person away? Didn't take long for Titania to commit her first safety violation!
I live in suburban Vancouver and yeah, way too many swasticars around here. The combination of expensive gas, cheap electricity, and good provincial/national EV incentives made them very popular for several years. Not nearly so popular now. Pictured is the price of gas in Coquitlam BC in Sep 2022
not sure where it's getting 19C from when the EPSgram says it may not even hit 10. Weather Network says 12. Wouldn't be surprised if it gets revised downward tomorrow. Can dream of spring in the meantime!
so far 0 seats sold across all Friday showings in Vancouver, 2 in Langley, 8 in Calgary
140.2mm at my place in southwest Coquitlam, including 81.2mm yesterday. Wet start to 2026!
nothing too serious, but the rain was heavy enough for long enough to cause water to pool at the west end of Edgar Avenue in Coquitlam. My rain gauge recorded 2.8mm of rain from 18:59-19:01! Was a very wet walk down Lougheed Highway
Definitely. I miss the extra space of the B compared to the A, but I think the A looks better. My mountain bike still fits in the back. A also gets incredible gas mileage. Got 4.7L/100km from Calgary to Kamloops. Don't think i ever did better than 5.6L/100km in the B. Too bad it's just GLA now
1/4 speed video of the lightning seen at the corner of Lougheed Highway and Brunette Avenue in Coquitlam #bcstorm @yvrwxwatcher.bsky.social @ensembleator.bsky.social
