A little of everything.
A great old friend of mine passed away and today was the “celebration of life.” I’m thankful for the time we had together but I sure am not feeling a celebration. It’s been good to meet his other friends though. Soldier medic, ski patroller, smoke jumper, homebuilder, friend. RIP Dickie.
It really is time to take the keys away from grandpa. This man is delusional.
Breckenridge in the summer is kinda hard to beat. The water is very low right now but it’s still pretty. The NRO concert was lovely too.
The new @realinfowars.bsky.social site is delivering the advertisements we really need.
Our town’s parade was just lovely. No BS. Not too long or short. Loads of happy kids.
That spirit has sailed, my friends. We'll be celebrating our friends, but this country ... nothing much to celebrate right now.
If I never see the Istanbul airport again, that‘d be just fine. €8 croissants, €13 beer, and a €24 kebab. Just insulting. And screaming “final call” announcements non-stop. Get me out of here.
“No, really, these cigarettes are actually good for your lungs.” Same same.
My last day in Spain was a good one. All you need is love. And a little Stewie.
People are too busy trying to earn enough to pay for gas, food, and rent. It’s a Green on Red album comeback.
I’m in heaven here. A full-time student in Salamanca, studying Spanish eight hours a day I couldn’t be happier.
Anyone else miss these damn crackers? I took this picture because they were ridiculously priced. After years of being $3.99, they suddenly jumped, and now they’re gone. Stoned Wheat Thins need to come back.
Remember when white folks in Georgia used to call the Civil War “the war of Northern Aggression”? This is the Trump War of Stupid Aggression.
Nothing says militant bicycle commuter quite like a Bell Biker and bar end shifters. Just needs the cyclops mirror.
When I’m in Italy and buying coffee for my moka pot, I usually buy Illy, but I tried a different brand today. I can say I will never buy Pellini again. It’s just not very good at all. Waste of money.
I also made something I’d never had before called “agretti” in Italian. English translation is “glasswort” or “garden cress”. Sauted in olive oil with garlic, calabrian peppers, and salt, it was delicious. I hope it’s not like ramps though — I don’t need a night of gas (scoregge).
A visit to the local grocery store in Italy shows the result of Trump’s war. Stores are bare of many of the interesting imported goods, and local items have risen sharply (cashier complains about veggies doubling). It’s still better (quality and value) than the US though.
Never meet your childhood heroes - 2026 plastic surgery edition: I present to you Charlies Angels.
This morning I found myself teleported down to Daylight Donuts. One apple fritter (and some terrible coffee) later, I have no idea how I got home completely smashed on sugar and caffeine.
