Interesting language and information here from Cooper. She contacted the Iranian foreign ministry but not, it seems, the Israeli one, to tell them off. She “condemned” Israel but “strongly condemned“ Hezbollah. No further comment.

Cooper welcomes the pause in strikes between Iran and Israel, but condemns the attacks carried out by the IDF in southern Lebanon this morning, describing them as "disproportionate".
She also "strongly condemned" the attacks carried out by Hezbollah against the Israeli military, urging both parties to uphold the fragile ceasefire brokered by the US.

She is a darling. She likes playing a lot, and she purrs whenever you stroke her. Plus, she came when I called her name today, which was very exciting! She was exploring the upstairs landing and I called “Asty” and she bounded down and purred for pets (Which she obviously received).

I have been trying to go into the room adjoining my bedroom so I can be in the same room as the kitten, and lie on the bed in there, for an hour or so each day. Yesterday I couldn’t do it at all. Today I am in so much pain I know I shouldn’t have. I hate being this ill. (Kitten, though.)

It is sad, and she’s all smol and scared, but she did lick my hand when I put a treat on it. Which is a move forward. I’m trying to let her get comfy at her own pace so I haven’t tried to touch her, just stared creepily a lot and spoken to her each time. (Ares still hiding in the back room!)

BBC is claiming that the shooter had a gun license which has lapsed, which I think is *very* unlikely given her age and mental health issues. Suspect it was a different member of the household, but the implication is very strongly that it’s the shooter’s. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Police said they had attended the suspect's family home on multiple occasions over the past several years, with some calls related to mental health concerns.
Van Rootselaar previously had a valid gun licence that had since lapsed,

As a former Special Forces Warrant Officer with multiple rotations running counterinsurgency ops-both hunting insurgents and trying to separate them from sympathetic populations—l've seen organized resistance up close. From Anbar to Helmand, the pattern is familiar: spotters, cutouts, dead drops (or modern equivalents), disciplined comms, role specialization, and a willingness to absorb casualties while bleeding the stronger force slowly.
What's unfolding in Minneapolis right now isn't "protest." It's low-level insurgency infrastructure, built by people who've clearly studied the playbook.

I don’t think the US has much British support within the public for invading Greenland, given 55% of people would support throwing all US troops out of the UK if they did, and only 22% oppose…

We don't ask nightclubs to serve orange squash to kids so they can have something to drink. We say no kids in nightclubs.
Social media is exactly the same.
Social media is not a safe for children.
Extreme content is rife, and the safeguards the companies have put in place are complex and woefully ineffective.
It's time to make sure children are protected from adult spaces. The Government should focus on what matters, not banning companies they don't like.
