This morning I tried to tighten my wing mirror and accidentally unscrewed the nut too far so it fell into my handlebars and then it turns out I dropped my bike keys at some point today and the site manager found them and conveniently left them in his office… locked… over night…
Love it when our packaging supplier decides to send us a pallet of boxes without a tail lift
When the type's history and context is relevant to the book's themes? 🧑🍳💋 Dedicating a page in the @summereternal.com Anthology to the book's typography. Very much inspired by @rubylavin.bsky.social doing this in Wanderhome - I've finally had my chance to do it!!
Watching Burt Reynolds use available sharp objects instead of guns and wondering why Val Kilmer or Al Pacino or De Niro haven’t shown up yet 😔
There were some kids on a school trip at the same time as us and they didn’t give a single fuck about this control panel magnificence
I really don’t think this video fully conveys the immensity of this place
Drove through my dad’s hometown too and can we take a second to appreciate how fucking nuts it is to build a power plant in the middle of a village
Back in my hometown after 10+ years, visiting family. Change of scale is wild, realising how little this place is compared to it being my entire world at one point. Also fitting in a bit of Milk Bar research while I’m here
Not to be all woe is me small business style, but amongst answering emails, designing books, dealing with VAT and duties bullshit, managing the shop, payroll, business finances, socials, quoting and invoicing, looking for work, you sometimes also have to heave 750kg of books up a pump truck gauntlet
Everybody say goodbye to our old packing slips: we have sent out multiple thousands of these and the discount codes have been used a combined total of... 18 times. Hurts me to redesign these but clearly they were not working at all 😔
Just been faced with this UI monstrosity: you can't scroll these pictures individually, you have to adjust the speed in .25x increments and pause it on the photo you want to look at. (also the arrows represent the direction of the scroll, not the order of photo you want to look at)
when the graphic design job demands some diegetic paper clips, tape, and glue
My glasses need replacing for a variety of reasons but I don’t think I can get anything but a one-to-one replacement because I still have a few hundred of these I don’t want to reprint…
Accidentally drained the 12v battery on my bike overnight so hoofing it to work this morning smdh
Sat on a pavement outside of a warehouse in the shit end of town drinking a £34 bottle of wine at a packed venue and all I can think about is how much „the economy is in shambles and that’s why people aren’t backing my RPG product” just isn’t very true
