Native Passiflora incarnata in Virginia

An intricate native passion flower blossom (passiflora incarnata) in a Virginia garden. It's a mostly purple & lavender flower with many fine tendrils making up the circular blossom against a background of green leaves.

We have three cats. They all really enjoy the dog's bed.

A tri-colored merle cattle dog mix lies on the floor next to her dog bed because she's been displaced by the very comfortable orange cat asleep on it.

Today marks the 16th anniversary of a small kitten's mysterious appearance at the bottom of a brush pile. All hail The Professor, unfazed by the cluelessness of dogs, mentor & friend to cats & kittens everywhere, endlessly patient with small children. He's never met a box he didn't like.

In Virginia I still occasionally run into this machine but I cannot imagine living this dangerously. This one was at a terrible gas station a block from my house.

Theoretically a Pepsi soda vending machine but all the choices are images of can tops without any label showing framed by the words "SURPRISE SURPRISE" although some selection panels are just blank
