Talarico voted against S.B. 14 because “it did more than ban gender reassignment surgeries for minors – it stripped critical healthcare away from Texas children suffering from rare genetic diseases that have nothing to do with being transgender,” a campaign spokesperson said in response to Paxton’s accusation of flip-flopping. Those “rare genetic diseases,” the spokesperson explained, refer to kids “born with a medically verifiable genetic disorder of sex development,” i.e., intersex people.

“It’s why he supported amendments to fix the bill while banning these surgeries – amendments that were ultimately shot down,” his campaign said.

I work in the tech industry and I think there should be a complete ban on all forms of generative AI, and would be willing to give substantial donations to any politician promising such.
