Minneapolis is miles ahead of Nashville in safe bike infrastructure, but I like most that it's still improving. Here's more protected bike lane work on Southeast 10th Ave.
How fast do you think I could bike through 5 gerrymandered congressional districts? Start near 100 Oaks in D4, go north into Berry Hill and D6, then towards Lipscomb across D7 and down along Hillsboro Pike into Brentwood, hitting D5 and D9. ~11 miles. I'm seriously thinking about doing this.
I hate them so much. But also, it would be so easy to hammer these businesses with fines, and Metro just leaves them in place or uses taxpayer dollars to remove them.

I don't really want to pay money to companies that vandalize public property in my city, at taxpayers' expense. And don't give me any B.S. about this being unauthorized acts of third-party actors, the campaign is explicitly developed to be painted on curbs, in the public ROW.

OMG it is, isn't it?! I rode it over to do a loop around Bde Maka Ska in one of the most glorious bike mornings of my life. I want to go back this fall, mostly for family, but also the city!

Remember when TDOT insisted that the Broadway bridge have 7 lanes and refused to put in bike lanes? This is what motor vehicle traffic looks like at rush hour, while scooter riders squeeze around the constant stream of people walking on the crowded sidewalks. What a waste.

I saw that NYC is redesigning Flatbush Ave in Brooklyn to be bus-friendly. This is by no means a perfect design, but it is WAY better than the 6-lane urban highway that the EBDA wants to run through the East Bank. You might actually want to live or work or shop in a place like that. Take note, NDOT.
It didn't bother me that work crews were trimming trees in the bike lane, work has to get done sometime. But Nashville needs to provide safe alternative routes when it closes sidewalks or bike lanes. The city talks about safety, but regularly leaves its citizens to fend for themselves.
Very niche content but I love it. Save room for the “wear layers under jacket” contingent (Harold Love, Justin Pearson, etc.)
