We lost Congressman John Lewis 6 years ago. 1 of the greatest heroes of civil rights in American History. I never met him in my 38 trips to Congress for healthcare. BUT, I TREASURE the words he shared with me re: my advocacy via his staff. His dancing makes me HAPPY when I'm in pain. REST IN POWER!🙏

My procedure went well. The doctor took additional biopsies for yet perhaps another condition. But in the interim look at my Nurse Anjelika who is taking very good care of me at home. Thank you all for your kindness and concern.🙏💜

SNAP Benefits approved waiver in Iowa: you can't purchase fresh fruit, but CAN have a piece of chocolate cake. Why? The fork is NOT attached. Make America HUNGRIER Again. Iowa currently has $90,599,941 in FY26 in SNAP revenue & due to its USDA restriction waiver, the state is at risk for RECESSION!
🚨URGENT: PLEASE SHARE: We MUST amplify awareness for state SNAP waivers. The USDA's rule for states to decide what we can & cannot purchase on SNAP is REPREHENSIBLE. States deciding what SNAP recipients can purchase will cause stigma & create access issues. NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT THIS. Thank you.🙏
