Normally when I build a kit I complete the build then decal it. In the case of the Lotus88 that’s not possible it has 2 chassis and the outer chassis would not bear the pressure of decalling once it’s sprung. The decals are by cartograf and even the pin stripes are going on well #histscalemodels
Had to share this. Fitting the monocoque was fiddly and it looked like there might be an unacceptable gap between the top and bottom then suddenly it clicked (literally) into place. This really is a dream of a kit to build Lotus 88B 1981 #histscalemodels
Front suspension now added and engine fitted to the monocoque. This is an ebbro kit rather than a TAMIYA but it goes together as well as a TAMIYA #histscalemodels
Hi guys I know you’re normally military builds but I’m really pleased with this (so far) this is the rear assembly for a Lotus F1 the 88. 1/20 scale. When the build is complete this will all be hidden under the bodywork which is a shame! #histscalemodels
