I guess I need one of these too
Brief Encounter (1945) The "I wish she would shut up. I wish she would die. Oh that was mean thing to think" when talking with an annoying person was so real
Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story (2007) "You worked so hard to learn guitar! And without any sense of smell!" "It's ok Ma, I learned by ear"
F For Fake (1973) I didn't know about any of this shit. It all rules. Orson Welles rules.
Ramparts of Ice (2026) Didn't enjoy this as much as Polar Opposites, but it was fun enough. I will probably watch S2, though we'll see if they can make Amamiya an actually interesting male lead
Drive (1997) Streaming movies feel so distinct from made-for-tv or direct-to-video movies. I think it's that they've gotten so much funding and are now seen as 'legitimate', but you watch something like Drive (1997) and miss that cheesy lower budget charm. Fun as hell movie, Brittany Murphy forever
Benny and Joon (1993) Seeing the synopsis and year really had me feeling some dread, but it was mostly just a cute movie. Not perfect, not hailing this as THE mental illness representation, but fine enough. Think my mom just wanted to watch it because Johnny Depp is 'beautiful' in it (to her)
I mean it looks better not clipping into the couch but I'm still not sure if thats two skirts or one
Cloverworks probably has a ton of fun working on Elusive Samurai (and pimping that shota out)
Yuusha no Kuzu (2026) Somehow forgot to add this. Man, wish the animation and production wasn't such a mess, really liked this one actually. Probably just an urban fantasy nerd though
Project Hail Mary (2026) A real movies movie. Does make me wish I had seen this in theatres, but with the family was still a nice time. Gosling still a generational actor, can't wait till he's in his disappointing star wars project.
Blast from the Past (1999) Asking the age old question of what would a guy who's only TV for the first 35 years of his life was The Honeymooners would turn out like.
Botan Kamiina Fully Blossoms When Drunk (2026) A beautiful anime with tons of creative direction, but it never really gelled with me. I think I just didn't care about the main couple at all. Was a bit self-conscious about not loving this, fearing it would make me look dumb since it's so artful
MarriageToxin (2026) Long time fan of the manga and I thought this was a good adaptation! I do wish some of the extras could be animated but that's just greed.
Yowayowa Sensei (2026) You can read the description and immediately know how 95% of this anime goes. Low effort ecchi comedy, but as it hits my favorite het romance dynanmic (female TeacherxMale Student) I'll take what I can get
Baby Assassins 2 (2023) It sure is more of baby assassins, just with a little less interesting drama between the main duo
Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (1984) PostedDB has this under 'Warriors of the wind' which feels like a crime. Beautiful movie
Gals Can't be kind to Otaku?! (2026) I know people have memed on this enough, but it is a very cute show. Easy to root for these three.
Dragon Inn (1967) Validates your distrust in Eunuchs. They're always scheming something
Ponkotsu Fuuki Iin to Skirt take ga Futekisetsu na JK no Hanashi (2026) Extremely colorful and light hearted rom com. The cast is a little eccentric which adds to the charm, and all the extra effort on small scenes like the rap battles are good fun. Good OP too. Main couple is so easy to root for
Witch Hat Atelier (2026) While I find the Brimmed Caps disappointing so far, this is a beautiful anime and the central cast are a lot of fun. All the work done to give this a 'storybook' feel elevates it. Really hope those rumors about S2 being in production already are true cause hell of an ending
Nippon Sangoku (2026) Despite an unfortunate trope early on, this show whips so much ass man. You gotta like people talking about strategy and moving character portraits around on a map but if you do this just never stops hitting
