Prince Ice World show featuring Wakaba was broadcast (again) on BS Asahi TV in Japan today... Wakaba's music was (mostly) The Bangles' version of "Hazy Shade of Winter" (an old favourtite of mine)... and choreography was by Shae-Lynn Bourne 🤩 She was great, of course! 🎉 #WakabaHiguchi #樋口新葉 ⛸️

Wakaba was the last of my All-Time Favourites still competing. She was the only reason I still went to competitions in person. I have avoided forming new favourites, so Wakaba's retirement not only marks the end of a golden era of skating, but also my release from this rotten sport...

Amber's 3A ? Sorry, but Amber skates 1/2 the rink doing nothing... Then round the short side doing more nothing... Then back another 1/2 the rink doing nothing... All to set up her 3A. Her 3A _should_ be receiving a -3 GoE reduction for "long prepration" according to the ISU rules...
