My screen name covers some of it, except the part about being a progressive, middle-aged, white guy with young kids. Things that make me happy (don't read into the order... too much): 🌊🏄🏽🤙🏽🏖️🌅 🌈♀️⚧️☮️♂️ 🐯🐕😻🐬🐳 🎷🎸🎹 🌝⭐🌠☄️ 🗺️
Is it possible someone thinks that announcing a change back to steam powered catapults could immediately improve sailor morale?
A beautifully messy scorecard. Pads going for the sweep against the best team in baseball tomorrow. It was a good night at the ballpark
The hardest working person in baseball broadcasting, @sammylevsports.bsky.social, doing the pregame from the Western Metal Supply building at Petco Park I love this place
I just perused Truth Social to check on the validity of the post below (it appears to be real, according my limited due diligence) and... HOLY SHIT does he post some INSANE stuff I'm going to go jump in the ocean, take a bath in lye, and then shower off to try and cleanse myself of the stink
Marquez earned himself a quality start entering in the 5th... Oh wait, I guess that's called a save The Padres are doing interesting* things *Weird

I made the mistake of posting on this site recently that I no longer minded messy scorecards. Tonight's Rockies at Padres game disabused me of that notion. 5 errors on my card (only one for the Pads). What a mess
Now that the Padres have executed a sweep and that's all it takes for me to be back to watching anything to do with baseball, I'm checking in on the game in St. Louis It's a Sunday afternoon. The number of people in the stands is pathetic
"My neighbor is a cannibal who screams throughout the night" sounds like the opening line of a bestseller that I would immediately put back on the shelf I had just grabbed it off of at the airport bookstore to see if I wanted to read it
No offense to Clancy Brown, who I am a big fan of, but this makes me think of the end of Shawshank
I say this as a citizen and a resident, so hopefully it is credible The US is like a person that has been successfully bullying others for years, and hasn't realized no one is intimidated by us anymore. We're washed up. And the world will be better for it Photo Credit Dan Mullan/Getty Images
Standard Time is my usual sunset season, when I can walk down to the ocean before dinner. But this one was good enough to capture right at home while doing the usual summer night activities
"We can edit him out later" Shadow President Stephen Miller has taken Spain's approach one step further. He's very proud of himself
The answer to all of these questions is "the season is effectively over" Time to start planning for next year
Cool event in Gallagher Square tonight. Free screening of Zootopia 2 for Padres Members. Free parking, a free drink, and a free candy for all attendees. Notable that it was such an inexpensive outing. I hope they do it again
A terrible (but typical for this year) Padres' scorecard. Not keeping this one
I did not keep this scorecard, but it is notable that every Dodgers batter scored in the 6th. I don't believe I've ever witnessed every batter scoring in an inning
Probably my messiest scorecard ever. Atlanta sent 10 batters to the plate in the second and it went to extras. My template is not made for that! But all in all, an enjoyable night at Petco watching the Padres squeak out a victory against one of the best teams in baseball
The "shithole country" accusation is, like every other accusation, an admission Photo Credit: Reuters' Aaron Schwartz
A fun (though long) game for the Cleburne Railroaders tonight against the Kansas City Monarchs. It was a pretty complicated scorecard to keep, but I'm getting more and more comfortable with that. I hope Park is OK
You could not paint a composition with a clearer message. Unbelievable capture I believe Haiyun Jiang of the NYT gets the photo credit
Samad the Saviour! The Padres have been a lot more fun to watch since he came up. And they're even winning some games
This is the way Padres do giveaways: first 40,000 fans in attendance. That's basically the whole ballpark
Both my PhD and my surfbumness make me love celestial mechanics. Conjunctions are cool!
We're late to the party, but my 14yo wanted to make sure we attended. Happy pride
Not a good night for the hometown Railroaders. I was actually hoping Sharp might get the complete game shutout. And I got a foul ball. I did try to give it away, but all the kids near me already had one
Unaffiliated Minor League Baseball rocks. The Cane County Cougars are visiting the Cleburne Railroaders with a spectacular backdrop this evening
