Well I missed this one !🤦 @myheritageofficial.bsky.social are collaborating with ftDNA to provide basic yDNA Haplogroup calling on their new WGS tests. My results show me as I-Z138, the depth of calling as an old autosomal Kit I have w. ftDNA. They are also promoting ftDNA's Big-Y testing. 🎉
Yesterday Mrs KG. and I were in the old “Hansastadt” Stade in Niedersachsen. It survived the war relatively well and has a surprisingly Baroque Lutheran church dedicated to the twin Saints Cosmas and Damian.
Just a couple of comments. Firstly, below is an example of the information you are now provided for the potential relatives that connect you to a match. As you can see this is more informative than the older style. I'm guessing there is an AI agent that writes these bios...
Top work from the #Penny supermarket chain’s social media team. A couple of days ago an ICE made an unscheduled stop so the driver could buy toilet paper at a local supermarket because there was none left on the train.🤦♂️🤣 and yes, their own-brand toilet paper is called “Happy End”.

Hi #AncestryHour. Recently I've been using the @myheritageofficial.bsky.social Scribe AI tool to get transcriptions of late 18 c. German civil records for Mrs. K-G's ancestors. (see example attached) The results have been VERY impressive, with only the occasion errors.
You think that, as you get older, you don’t need to do the painting. Apparently not. Today I was painting the white stair walls white. 🎨 At least it gave me a chance to organise/ reduce my “forever” bookcase. (I.e. All the books I plan to keep until they carry me away) 😀

For fun Mrs K-G and I tried #Underberg, the “cult” German herbal liquor from the 1970’s (I use the terms loosely 😀). I can’t begin to describe how horrible it is 🤮. There is clearly a reason this stuff is sold at the supermarket checkouts with the cheap vodka.😂
