I’d be curious what you’d think of this album (context: frontman and drummer are brothers, and their mother passed while recording)
It’s funnier because he’s usually the clever one — got foiled by his own curiosity. This is the dopey little bastard who runs into doors and gets trapped in the closet.
We’d heard his faint meows for a bit before finding him behind glass (it was our first day with the cabinet)
Got to say goodbye on Thanksgiving, and he went down on Saturday. Still feeling sad, missing him. In our lives for 16 — got to go out eating cheesy eggs and peanut butter, loved as hard as he loved us back. Love you, Wally boy
I’m not sayin this song is prophetic, but it’s certainly gotten funnier
What perfect album came out when you were 16? Didn’t listen to these when I was 16, but hell yeah
Here’s the playlist I made to go along with the episode — it serves as both soundtrack and secrets (there are certainly “story” elements in the lyrics that did not get explained on the show)
For the first time ever, the illustrious @katconde.bsky.social can be found in print! She’s kickin ass at an internship with the Nashville scene, who gave her a cover assignment! Knocked it out of the park, and she’s hard at work on the next one If you’re in Nashville this week, grab a copy!
At first, I wasn’t sure about this album. But after listening to it another 2 or 3 times, it’s really grown on me (the back half is much stronger, imo) Dark Matter Dynamics really standing out as a favorite
Today’s Soundtrack I was a little worried I was over-hyped for this album, but it’s incredible. Especially love the Sacred/Profane themes going on
I mean, I’ve got a ton of cat reference, but it’s hardly a book (Little bit of dog, too, but mostly pug)
I’m not entirely sure what genre to put this in, but this album has early promise, and this song specifically, slaps.
When he’s not looking haunted by visions beyond the pale, he also enjoying being held like a baby
(Not quite snail, but still delightful — hope you keep feeling better the more snails you draw)
