Watch a lot of films and telly. Everton fan. Have 2 kids, plus a labrador and a tortoise.
First ever season of fantasy footy - started quite well, was up in the top 50 of all 3 leagues until well into the 2nd half of the season - but then kinda Everton'd it towards the end of the season and dropped off somewhat. Still, not too bad for a first go, I s'pose 🤷🏻♂️
I can confirm that coming home from work to sights like this never, ever gets old 🧁
I think I must've managed to blank out memories of when music criticism was like this. Have also recently seen this Melody Maker review of Suede's Coming Up (photo borrowed from FB). Even if the album wasn't a genuine classic (which it is), this is an unbelievable (and quite personal) take.
Macaroni cheese (but, y'know, with penne) with bonus hot dog sausages and garlic cheese bread.
Char siu foo yung with fried rice, with salt & pepper chicken. So good.
Drop an album that was important to you when you were nineteen. (I would guess that almost everyone would say that the albums that were most important to them at 19 are still important to them now, yeah?)
Club sandwich with egg mayo, on a sourdough baguette, with waffle fries and a side salad. Phenomenal.
Just back from seeing the amazing @suedehq.bsky.social with @efc-jdwelsby.bsky.social. I've seen them 6 times now, and they're always phenomenal - but tonight was pretty damn special.
(Because I can jump on any available bandwagon with the best of 'em) This is who runs this account.
Went to see Stereophonics last night - for the first time. They were excellent. Here's a video of some massive balloons in the crowd, during Dakota 🎸🎈🎸🎈🎸
Couldn't get past this paragraph. Kate Hudson was absolutely amazing in Almost Famous - but why feel the need to drag the rest of the film down? "Hoist out of the doldrums"... "dopey"... "almost forgettable"... Has the writer of the article even seen Almost Famous?
Amazon Music put together a "festival line-up" with my most played artists this year. Some of this is definitely influenced by what my sons listen to, btw - I mean, who the hell are Ghost and Pals? 🤔 Having said that - Best. Festival. Ever.
Lovely bowl of scouse for tea. Photo doesn't quite do justice to just how delicious it was 😋
So excited, as it is approaching the time to bring this classic joke over to Bluesky (having previously hit both Twitter & Threads).
