Version 2! New shoes, better fit, wrist support wrap.

Old problems, new solutions.

I visited local coffee roastery Cedar today, and the block that they're in has these striking canine wall paintings scattered around.

Ringing in the new year with this absolutely ridiculous, big, layered, dark symphony of a beer. Every sip sings for minutes. Soul Barrel's Icenator is a wild eisbock that took 5 years to make: from 700 liters of strong, dark doppelbock, to just 150 liters of intense, concentrated, incredible taste.

Today marks 68 years since the day spacecraft Sputnik 2 carried Moscow street dog Laika, also known as Kudryavka, into Earth orbit, where she died. I had the opportunity to draw this fridge magnet marker portrait of her. You didn't ask to go, nor deserved what happened. Rest in peace, first dog.

Speciesqueer Pride Flag The colours of the flag take inspiration from both the Genderqueer flag, by @marilynroxie.bsky.social (2011), and the Nonhuman Unity flag, by @coyote.tel (2020). The sinusoidal geometry of the flag references the shape of the DNA double helix. This design is free for use.

The flag has a 3:2 aspect ratio. It has 3 colours: green at the top, purple at the bottom, and white in the center. The green and purple meet on the left and right sides of the the flag, along the shape formed by two sinusoidal lines that trace horizontally across the flag, referencing the shape of the DNA double helix, and visually suggesting mutual overlap. In the center, the aperture between the two sinusoidal lines is coloured white.

Today i learned that in early drafts of "The Lion King", Scar's minions were Cape hunting dogs (African wild dogs) rather than hyenas.

"Post a movie you like with a terrible Rotten Tomatoes score." I cannot *believe* they did "Hackers" this dirty. Honorable mention for "Event Horizon" and "Underwater", because i am a complete sucker for deep space / deep sea horror.

Got myself some fancy cheeses as a treat. I've never had Red Leicester before. I got this one mainly because of the cute red fox branding, but it's really good! Rich, just slightly crumbly, crystalline, sharp, creamy, smokey. Delicious.
