In lieu of [continued joyful gibberish noises] about this week's Ghost in the Shell episode, check out the Motoko sketch I got @adamwarren.bsky.social to draw for me too many years ago.
And that's the midpoint of Armored Troopers VOTOMS this Stockpile Sunday, bringing the Kummen arc to a close with betrayals on all sides (some more than justified), continued super soldier experiments, and war continuing to be good for absolutely nothing. May your next planet be better, Chirico.
Having a pretty excellent weekend here, with @thegeohound.bsky.social getting off the Iron Range for a few days (and gifting me a fantastic SAC Motoko figure), finding a new Revy for the collection, some good Splatfest matches, and belatedly introducing myself to The Red Spectacles at the Trylon.
Huddling around a G3 iMac to watch Oshii's GitS with a couple other guys in a college dorm late at night after a "hey check this shit out"
Quickly skimming through my 4th camera roll and it's mostly [good pictures of kids that feel weird to share publicly], [eww, politicians], and [local businesses being weirdly patriotic] which, fair, 4th parade, but also we forever have the clown band.
Ahahahaha. Draw This, Then Die was already on my shortlist of good looking new shows this season, but that's an instant lock in.
Closing out Good Witch of the West this Stockpile Sunday and that certainly was a show. Even in this era of single cour shows, most don't try to rapid-fire through plots like this and it just ends up a mess. Its dragon designs are also certainly A Choice.
More vibecoding shenanigans? Thought I was just having reception issues as I get home to the Range for a couple days.
Continuing on with the Apothecary Diaries for prose book 13 of the year, book 6 felt like a more direct continuation of the prior entry than some of the other volumes have been, which was a nice change of pace, as it focused on one of the series' more sympathetic characters.
Attempted to go down an old rabbit hole this morning, unfortunately Wayback wasn't great at forum capture :(
And with the trailers all watched, it's my quarterly anime preptime madness (summer edition), charting out the new/returning shows that I'm gonna be checking out over the next couple of weeks.
While digging that trailer out, YouTube served me some AI slop-looking crap from this Angie Craig PAC and lmao.
