designing Fiction in the Space Between was a lot of fun, translating a body of songs into games / game pieces. And also the booklet! Flipping it so that you cut up and tear bits off my hometown was great, and then to use a map of the Aboriginal exclusion zone made it better (if only detail I notice)
Well I printed Stonetop out but the maps didn’t print ; ; Guess I’m doing them by hand
As part of my Tracy Chapman inspired games anthology, I made a safety tool based on the song ‘Open Arms’. It’s not doing anything revolutionary but I like making the pause & play process explicit, it helps everyone at the table. Also the anthology came as a CD booklet and that’s very fun ahaha.
A (draft) preview of one of the sillier minigames in Veritable Tales, in case you missed it! The noble could be describing a mythological creature, a dinosaur, a Pokémon... have fun with it! www.kickstarter.com/projects/sun...
Veritable Tales of Folly in the Realm is funding now for #ZineMonth! Play medieval minigames & record that year's activities in your illuminated manuscript. That way you can pick up where you left off in a couple weeks - or with completely different players! www.kickstarter.com/projects/sun...
I need to head to bed but instead I've spent way too long doodling a sample Veritable Tales manuscript (not an illuminated manuscript - no gold ink). Was fun! For ease in actual play I'd probably go with a printout medieval border instead and we'd all colour it in during play.
this #ZineMonth: A medieval minigame TTRPG Carefully craft a beautiful illuminated manuscript OR make a quick note in between chaotic play with new players every round. Both work! Veritable Tales suits an intro RPG or a flexible option for your regular game night. www.kickstarter.com/projects/sun...
Look what arrived! Growing Thylacine zines, beautifully risograph printed by Ashley at Heliopress
I now understand books localising to other markets ahaha. Just need to redraw this and change some text and I can make millions!!!!
Hey you could use that in my Fast Car two-player game based on the song! It and other games like it available in my currently crowdfunding zine. www.backerkit.com/c/projects/p...
Growing Thylacine was written to be a camping trip game, a 50% attendance games night game. It’s no prep, self contained, and approachable for a first roleplaying game. Only 8 hours left to back it, funding now for ZineMonth / ZineQuest! www.kickstarter.com/projects/sun...
