Update on sunflower: i added some more deformation to the rings and added lighting and color. Blender runs at 2fps when previewing so I think I'll have to render it onto a plane for use in my storybook. #gamedev #indiedev #art #animation #blender #greasepencil #2d #flower

The armature contains 384 bones and the grease pencil has 384 vertex groups. I manually selected every single seed and assigned it to the proper group in edit mode.

I used an armature modifier and array modifiers. The flower is composed of 12 slices, like a pizza.
