Contemplation

A manokit sits on the far side edge of a metal roof. From our view we see him side on, the close side of the roof covers his lower body. His legs and hips hidden from view by the roof, his hand resting on one out of sight.

His head looks down his expression fairly neutral but a with a small downward curve to his lips.

Progress, I feel pretty stagnant in my art, but I can at least say that I couldn't have drawn this at the start of the year, so that's something. It doesn't really feel like I'm making progress, but every little drawing gets me a little bit further than I was before.

Got alot of really pretty shots and interesting framing of this pretty bird but this one stands out among the rest just for it's pose, an almost quizzical aloofness I find really comforting.

A small fist sized bird sits on a rusting metal bar. It's chest and feathers a mix of grey and burnt orange with a dark blue tail. It sits facing away from the camera with it's head tilted at a quizzical angle.

To the side of the bird is a hook is on the bar, and from it hangs a small birdhouse in the shape of a cop car.

Got this gem today loool. I got some really nice pictures this morning of this goober in my backyard I'll post the nice one tomorrow lol

A small bird sits on a steel bar. The picture is zoomed in close the small bird filling the entire frame, the bird is about the size of a fist. It's chest has white plummage at the bottom blending into a soft orange with dak blue almost grey wings.

It holds the bar with one leg whie the other is up scratching its beak which sits wide open, its one visible eye squinted half closed, making it look like the bird is almost yelling.

I love Dalinar, but man his son.. I won't spoiler for others but I've been so stressed after the BIG thing he did to catch up to him, I just can't imagine it doesn't. This is the back of my jacket I used the sigil with the crown showing support for the king :3

This is reminding me of the nightmare that is YouTube banners. I made one years ago and there was like 6 different potential crops for it. I think it's gotten simpler but god I hated it back then.

Well... that didn't go to plan. Qualified decently but game crashed right before we went out for the pace lap. Once DC'd you are unable to rejoin so I was out for this week :s Sucks but is what it is, think I found the cause and will be ready for next week, anyway here's the full livery reveal!

The back of a 2018 Bentley Continental GT3 the lower bumper is silver with magenta accents, above it is a strip of bronze and above that the trunk is a matte black. The big rear wing has 'woof!' adorned on the side plates.

Ready for a new season of Sim Racing! Tomorrow starts round 1 of the Simufur championship, I've just finished some 12hrs of work getting the livery set up and I am so happy with it. I'll be streaming tomorrow at 12pm EST, Simufur will also have their own stream with commentators come check it out!

SRM Round 3 starts today! And in typical fashion I am not prepared whatsoever! Practicing as many of the stages as I can after work, this time there are very few repeats so will be hard. Will be streaming the rally Sat and Sun night, and hoping too not get my third incomplete in a row LOL

The Maw Motorsports Fiat 131 Abarth ready for the rally. Well couldn't have picked a more fitting time to revisit the album American Idiot by Green Day. The only thing I can hope is that we have some that care enough to try and make a difference this time around as well, and help influence young people to vote against war.

American Idiot was inspired by contemporary American political events, particularly 9/11, the Iraq War, and the presidency of George W. Bush. There are only two overtly political songs on the album ("American Idiot" and "Holiday"), but the album "draws a causal connection between contemporary American social dysfunction and the Bush ascendancy." While the content is clearly of the times, Armstrong hoped it would remain timeless and become more an overarching statement on confusion.

Armstrong expressed dismay at the then-upcoming presidential election. He felt confused by the country's culture war, noting the particular division among the general public on the Iraq War. Summing up his feelings in an interview at the time, he said, "This war that's going on in Iraq [is] basically to build a pipeline and put up a fucking Wal-Mart." Armstrong noted divisions between America's "television culture" versus the world's view of America, which could be considered as careless warmongers. Dirnt felt similarly, especially so after viewing the 2004 documentary Fahrenheit 9/11. "You don't have to analyze every bit of information in order to know that something's not fucking right, and it's time to make a change."[18] Cool hoped the record would influence young people to vote Bush out, or, as he put it, "make the world a little more sane" He had previously felt that it was not his place to "preach" to kids, but felt there was so much "on the line" in the 2004 election that he must.

The album also takes aim at giant corporations putting small companies out of business. Cool made an example out of record shops closing when a national retailer makes it to town. "It's like there's just one voice you can hear," he said. "Not to sound like a preachy person, but it's getting towards the Big Brother of George Orwell's 1984— except here you have two or three corporations running everything."

My red Miata parked behind a Honda Civic at night. Saw them on the side of the road and they waved me over, they had two flats I was able to air up enough with my mini compressor for them to limp it home.

My redMiata up on scales in a very crowded garage after installing new coilovers, it was a multi day job to install, weight balance, and align it.

I decided to get back into trying to learn art! It's tough and I suck but I've actually been really enjoying sitting down and practicing, it's been very therapeutic for me to just listen to some music and sketch and disconnect for a bit :)
