A Buff Tailed Bumblebee on a Liatris flower in my garden. These flowers are covered in bees. 🐝 I mistakenly planted them in a row by a low wall. They look like soldiers!! I’ll dig them up when finished and pot them together. They’ll look better. #BeeFriendlyPlants #BeeKind 🐝

A Buff Tailed Bumblebee feeding on a white Liatris flower. Its wings are folded on its back. The Liatris is a mass cluster of tiny flower heads on a long stalk.

My low stone wall with the Liatris in a row along it. I thought they would be tall but I didn’t expect them to tower over the wall like that.
They are a mix of white and purple colours with pointy long green leaves all the way up the stalks.

Glad I left them in the pot from last year. Such a lovely colour. Bright and cheerful! #CoreopsisGrandiflora apparently! Had to look it up.

While transporting this huge bush a few stems broke off. I put them in water and waited for them to grow roots. Sorry but I forgot to photograph that bit 🙄 Now they’re enjoying the sunshine planted into seeding pots. They’re indoors on a windowsill mainly, out of direct sunlight 🌞 in this heat.

5 rooted and planted hydrangeas doing well. There’s growth on the inside leaves.

Just come back from #HolmfirthArtFestival Holmfirth was so busy in the sunshine ☀️ and the art was everywhere. The main exhibition was very busy as were all the shops and cafes. So good to see. I did try last Sunday but it couldn’t find a parking space anywhere! #Holmfirth #BusyLittleTown ❤️ #Art

I hope they do very well.
Fringe exhibitions all over the area to from cafes to charity shops. Lots to buy at every price range.
I’m not on a bus route where I live so have to take the car unfortunately, before anyone asks - “why didn’t I take public transport? “

Went to a car boot this morning and this gentleman was selling rhubarb straight from his garden at 5am!! Couldn’t get fresher than that! Found my last bag of blackberries in the freezer from last year. It’s a great combo! Crumble made and stewed rhubarb for the freezer too! #Rhubarb Love it!!

This was the quickest crumble ever
I had the blackberries frozen already and the crumble mix!
Chopped the rhubarb and macerated them before popping the frozen crumble on the top.
Baked in a glass dish. It’s delicious.

Stewed the rest of the rhubarb with sugar, a cinnamon stick and orange juice from 2 oranges.
So nice!
I’m going to freeze it because I have a whole crumble to eat first. There only two of us!
It will be lovely cold with ice cream! 🍨

Tuna salad with Feta cheese is one of my favourite quick meals. Lashing of olive oil and balsamic vinegar to serve. It was delicious. #SummerSalads #FetaCheese Feta makes everything Beta!!

Since my lurgy last month I’ve been left with a bit of a cough which I cannot shake off. Trying Thyme and lemon infusion that has been said to work . #Thyme #Herbs #HerbRemedies It certainly smells nice! 😊

I thought my Jasmine died last year. I cut it right back to the stems on the trellis and fed it with a lot of TLC. Now look! It’s also been home to a Robin’s nest. So glad it survived. #Jasmine #GardensUK

Seems I have an abundance of three leaved clover on my lawn. 😉 Suckling Clover to be precise. Along with Self Heal and white clover too. My lawn doesn’t have much grass but it’s certainly alive with bees and insects. #WildflowersUK #UKGardens #KindToNature

Dappled shade and a hydration station for the residents of the dry stone wall and others. #BeKind #HelpWildlife #SummerHeat We have to go to the eye hospital for OH now in this record breaking heat! Others have to work in it! Take care 🥰

Putting all my succulents and cacti in one basket! Hope they survive. I know it’s not the right time of the year to do it but hey ho! #Cacti #Succulents #HousePlants They’re out enjoying the sunshine 🌞 atm! One too many! Read that I’m not to water them for a while! Is that right?

They stand on my garden table with a Green waterproof cover on it. Paving slabs underneath.

The wicker basket stands on a tiled garden table and it’s full of plants now. One succulent too many so it got repotted at the right angle!

Leaf Cutter Bee on my Wisteria just now. Very noisy bee that’s why I noticed it. Such a clever insect. #LeafCutterBee #UKWildlife #GardenInsect #Pollinators Such a busy bee. Came back numerous times.
